"The day after the beautiful concert held with the So Cool 5tet at the auditorium of the Verdi Conservatory in Turin,
I had a master class on vocal improvisation at the Maison Musique in Rivoli. At the end of the lesson, my friend Dado Moroni, amazing musician and teacher of Jazz piano at the Verdi Conservatory, introduces me to Giovanna Gattuso. Finally I was able to give a face to a name that has had a place in international vocality and teaching for years. I do not hide the pleasant surprise of having discovered that Gattuso, already known as the author of the "Method of Singing Crossover" which I have repeatedly recommended to my students as a text for the study of vocal technique, was not an elderly lady of a certain age with home and shop in Los Angeles, but also a beautiful woman! Giovanna's contagious enthusiasm after my visionary 3-hour lesson, and her sincere appreciation for my work as a musician, instantly confirmed that her love of music and her intense passion for studying and teaching they were the secret of his fame, for those who made the "Voice" their work tool.
